HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — News13 is helping get answers for a viewer concerned about graffiti in Horry County.

A viewer reached out to News13 on Feb. 28 concerned about the ongoing spread of graffiti on underpasses in certain parts of Horry County, specifically noting one along Highway 501 near Highway 31 Conway-bound.

The viewer said she reached out to the South Carolina Department of Transportation last year, but that the graffiti remained. News13 reached out to SCDOT on Feb. 28, and on Thursday, the department responded and said crews are scheduled to have the graffiti painted over by the end of April.

News13 asked the department if it would be removing just the graffiti along Highway 501 or others in the county, but we have not gotten a response as of this writing.
