USA Architects, based in Somerville, NJ, is a mid-sized architectural firm focused on design excellence. Areas of expertise include public and private educational facilities, justice/civic projects, commercial and cultural projects. We are currently seeking an experienced Architect (Professional degree in Architecture, plus at least seven years of related experience) to assist teams with the preparation of designs, design development, construction documentation, and assist in construction phase services. Candidates must be proficient with Revit and must be able to carry out complex assignments in developing construction documents. Experience with larger scale projects, including new construction is a plus. Candidates must be authorized to work in the US. Responsibilities
- Prepare highly detailed construction documents;
- Assist in preparing specifications and managing the specification process, including the research of products and systems;
- Maintain a good understanding of codes and regulations in the U.S.
- Support the Construction Administration process
- Provide quality control/assurance on assigned projects.
- May provide technical guidance to less experienced staff.
Qualifications
- BArch or MArch degree from a US College/University.
- At least 7 years working in a US-based practice.
- Proficiency in Revit a must.
- Proficiency in Enscape and/or Lumion a plus.
- Licensed Architect or the ability and desire to become licensed in the near future.
- Strong technical expertise related to design and construction.
- Must be a team player with a good attitude and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines when necessary.
Salary/Compensation
