Towering Figure: How architect Jeanne Gang reshaped Chicago’s spectacular skyline

CHICAGO (WLS) — Jeanne Gang is an internationally acclaimed architect whose worked has impacted Chicago and beyond.

ABC7 anchor Tanja Babich sat down with Gang for an exclusive interview, and she shared her journey from a small Northern Illinois town to becoming one of the most prolific women in her industry.

Gang’s portfolio includes Chicago’s Aqua Tower and The St. Regis. Both buildings have held the title of the tallest building in the world designed by a female architect.

She shared how she is on a mission to reshape communities through her work.

“I think architecture really sets up the opportunity for people to come together,” Gang said.
