SOMERSET, N.S. — Police have charged two young people in connection with vandalism at Somerset and District Elementary School.

On Aug. 7, Kings District RCMP were called to the school where officers discovered the building and playground equipment had been spray-painted.

Their investigation led to the identification of two Kings County young people, RCMP said in a news release that did not specify the ages or gender of the suspects.

The accused have been charged with mischief under $5,000 and are scheduled to appear in Kentville provincial court Oct. 19.

Anyone in the community who witnesses vandalism can report it to the Kings District RCMP by calling 902-765-3317 in Kingston or 902-679-5555.
