Let’s create an online community art exhibit!

Throughout the month of May patrons can display their artwork (drawing, painting, photography, etc.) by posting to the library’s Padlet site.

May’s theme is “something you can’t live without.”

GARDENING 101 WORKSHOP

To have a bountiful garden, all you need to do is provide your plants what they need. But what do they need? And how do you provide it?

Gretel anspach will host a gardening 101 workshop at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 6.

Learn about sunlight, space, water and most of all soil, and you’ll have the basics to develop the garden you’ve always wanted.

This program is sponsored by the Friends of Boyden Library.

BOYDEN LIBRARY SPICE CLUB

Do you love cooking and want to try some new spices and recipes? Then join Boyden Library’s Spice Club!

Each month we will feature a different spice for participants to take and try at home. Each kit contains a sample of the spice, two new recipes from A to Z World Food database (a Boyden Library card is required to access this database), and a brief history of the spice.

And don’t forget to share what you’ve made with us on Facebook and/or Instagram!

The spice for May is Caraway, which will be available all day on Wednesday, May 8.

Go to boydenlibrary.org/calendar to register.
