A new report from the Wall Street Journal and Realtor.com ranks Manchester and Nashua at No. 10 out of 300 metropolitan areas for emerging markets, this spring.”There’s just very little inventory right now. And a lot of demand. It’s painful,” said Greg Powers, a relator at Keller Williams. The data indicates that the median home price tops $550,000 in the two cities.Finding housing here in the Granite State can be incredibly difficult, several realtors told us tonight.”What we really want to have is about 10,000 homes for sale to meet the demand a buyer has that we have in New Hampshire, and we’ve got about 1,000 homes for sale,” said Tommy Bolduc, from Keller Williams. Inventory is running so low, that one home can see dozens of offers, Powers said.”I sold a condo in Merrimack recently. We got 19 offers and my sellers were looking for a house. They went to an open house in Raymond and that house got 28 offers,” he added.Many people from across the country have been drawn to the area’s access to the city and nature, Powers said, and cities, such as Manchester and Nashua, provide the best of both worlds.”Manchester is an hour to Boston, an hour to the beach, an hour to the mountains, so in your free time, you can go anywhere, or do anything you want from here,” Powers said.Realtors said their best advice is to remain persistent, even if several initial offers fall through.
