Police arrested a suspect in connection with the Holocaust memorial vandalism that occurred on December 8 in Lebauer Park.

Nile Christian Harvey, 22, is being charged with Misdemeanor injury to real property and ethnic intimidation

Officers say a swastika was spray painted onto the She Wouldn’t take off her Boots Holocaust monument.

The incident was reported to the Greensboro Downtown Parks Department on Friday.

Congresswoman Kathy Manning said she is “horrified and saddened that the Holocaust memorial in Greensboro, ‘She Wouldn’t Take Off Her Boots,’ was desecrated with a graffiti Swastika.”

The statue’s artist, Victoria Milstein said “The message to the Jewish community is that antisemitism is not going to be tolerated, and this is, whether it’s on a public piece of art or if it’s on a school locker at a high school, and so we as a people are going to stand together with our community.”
