Graffiti at Hammonds Plains school being investigated as hate-motivated incident

The RCMP is investigating after alleged racist graffiti was found at a school in Hammonds Plains.

Officers responded to Kingswood Elementary School on Vrege Ct., where they found graffiti spray-painted at the back of the building.

“Information and evidence gathered by investigators indicates that the mischief was motivated by hate basedon race and religion,” RCMP said in a news release.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call Halifax RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
