Renowned singer-songwriter Bob Dylan has successfully sold his remarkable 16-bedroom mansion, Aultmore House, nestled in the rugged and scenic Scottish Highlands.

The property, which boasts a serene location within the expansive Cairngorms National Park and proximity to Nethy Bridge village, fetched US$5.35 million in the sale, according to Mansion Global.

Dylan, a Nobel Prize laureate celebrated for his contributions to music and literature, initially listed the stately manor in July, setting the asking price at US$3.5 million.

The iconic artist and his brother had acquired the estate in 2006 for $2.84 million through a limited liability company associated with his late business manager, as indicated by property records.

The mansion, known for its historical charm, features original architectural elements, including elegant marble fireplaces, intricate plasterwork adorning the ceilings and archways, and exquisite timber floors.

Its grandeur is evident from the moment one enters the property through a majestic entrance hall.

Inside the vast 1672sq m estate, there are numerous amenities, including a billiards room, a drawing room, a garden room, primary and secondary kitchens, and a guest or staff wing.

The property also houses offices, a basement, a workshop, an old coal cellar, and a music room, reflecting Dylan’s multifaceted interests.

Many of the principal rooms offer breathtaking vistas of the Cairngorm mountains.

Surrounding the mansion’s 24-acre estate are enchanting features such as a Victorian greenhouse, an orchard, a walled garden, a fountain, and even a croquet lawn.

Additionally, the property includes several standalone residences, including three four-bedroom cottages.

The new owner of this magnificent estate is Angus Dundee Distillers, a renowned producer of single malt, blended, and deluxe Scotch whiskies.

The distillery operates two facilities, one within the Cairngorms National Park and another on the east coast of Scotland.

However, as of now, the whisky maker has not commented on their acquisition.
