Architects Unveil New Single Seeing Red

Architects by Matt Higgs, supporting Biffy Clyro, November 2022

Having had a successful yet turbulent year in 2023, UK metalcore favourites Architects have unveiled a brand new single which may please fans of some of their older material. The pulverising Seeing Red feels like a mix of some of their peak heavy material from Lost Forever // Lost Together and All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us on the verses, combined with Bring Me The Horizon-esque effects sprinkled throughout. The chorus is still very much modern Architects, but there’s a lot here to be enjoyed.

Seeing Red is the first new material to be released by Architects since the departure of guitarist Josh Middleton (also of Sylosis), who had been in the band for several years following the death of founding member Tom Searle in 2016.

Architects have an array of live shows lined up for 2024, including more support slots with Metallica. Their next UK appearance is a debut headline slot at Bloodstock Open Air Festival in August of 2024. Architects were most recently seen in the UK at the 2023 Download Festival, as main support for their friends, the aforementioned Bring Me The Horizon.
