5. Dean Martin Palm Springs House
Legendary American singer, dancer, and comedian Dean Martin was among the last people to acquire a mid-century modern house from the famous father-son architect duo George and Robert Alexander before they died in a plane crash. Like many others in the city, Dean Martin’s Palm Springs house blends in with the surrounding desert topography with a one-floor plan and white and beige exteriors. However, unlike the others on the list, this Palm Springs celebrity home located on West Mariscal Road stayed in the family for several decades and was only re-listed to be sold in 2020.
6. Liberace home Palm Springs
Liberace owned not one, not two, not three, but four houses in the desert resort city. However, one of the flamboyant pianist’s estates is more famous than the others. Previously a boutique hotel, the beautiful Mediterranean Colonial-style estate is widely known for representing his eclectic vision. While Liberace’s home in Palm Springs is no longer owned by his family, the current owners have left up the sign outside that reads “Piazza de Liberace.”
