$7.4 million Brick mansion being auctioned in October – along with its dock on the river

A $7.4 million Brick mansion is going up for auction in October.

But this isn’t an ordinary auction, and this is no ordinary house.

The home’s nearly 12,000 square feet includes six bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, four fireplaces and a boat lift on the private dock along Metedeconk River. The home was built in 2009 with solid marble pillars and limestone from Jerusalem.

“The actual construction of this home could not be duplicated today,” said real estate agent Robert J. Cecchini of Keller Williams Shore Properties, because of the demands on builders today.

The home’s pool, spill-over spa, cabana and terrace overlook the dock and boat lift on the river.

The mansion at 423 Princeton Ave. in Brick has nearly 12,000 square feet of living space, including four fireplaces. The house sits along the river with a boat lift off the private dock.

The property owner lives a couple of doors down the road in another luxury home. A father, who raised his family in that neighborhood, bought the two adjacent properties for his sons. One of the sons moved, making this home available.

To bid on the home, at 423 Princeton Ave., potential buyers have to register with a deposit prior to the open-bidding process, all conducted online. Cecchini brought in Supreme Auctions, a global company specializing in luxury homes, to manage the bidding process.

“We can offer the homeowner a global process,” said Jennie Heal, CEO of Supreme Auctions. “It’s a different advantage for the homeowners.”

Supreme Auctions uses its database of potential home buyers to target those interested in specific types of property, like this riverfront East Coast home. Bidding starts Oct 3, closes Oct 5.
