Mojo Melee Partners with Amazon Prime to Give Away NFTs

Mojo Melee, an NFT game built on Ethereum scaling network Polygon, has teamed up with retail giant Amazon to offer NFTs to Amazon Prime subscribers. The partnership begins with a free package available through the Amazon Prime Gaming portal. This package includes an NFT of the champion character Gwyn Rockhopper and 885 in-game Ore currency for Prime subscribers who create a new player account for Mojo Melee.

Typically, players are required to reach a certain character level before being able to mint champions as NFTs in Mojo Melee’s in-game progression system. However, as part of the Amazon partnership, Gwyn Rockhopper is being offered as an NFT from the start. The Amazon deal will last for six months and will feature monthly drops of free in-game NFTs and other content, giving Prime subscribers ongoing opportunities to engage with the game and potentially gain an advantage over non-subscribers.

Mojo Melee is a casual take on the popular “auto battler” genre, blending elements of chess and real-time strategy games. It can be played through web browsers and an Android app. Despite its simplified approach, Mojo Melee has received positive feedback for providing a streamlined introduction to the genre.

This collaboration between Amazon Prime Gaming and Mojo Melee is not the first of its kind. Mythical Games has previously partnered with Prime Gaming to offer NFT promotions for its game Blankos Block Party, including a free avatar and accessory.

There have been reports that Amazon is considering launching its own NFT marketplace, but as of now, these plans have not yet materialized.
