IFAM excited for second year at Railyard

A familiar sight will grace the entrance to this year’s International Folk Art Market: a yellow and blue sign flanked by purple doves.

“Our marquee has meant so much to so many people. It was created the first year of the folk art market. It was hand-painted and has really kind of been the symbol of the market,” said IFAM Executive Director Stacey Edgar.

But after 20 years, the marquee — crafted from plywood in 2004 — had seen better days. So, with permission from the original’s artist, IFAM organizers commissioned a new, lightweight version of the famous marquee.
