Heitler Houstoun Architects, a growing…and award-winning Manhattan based Architecture and Interior Design firm, is seeking talented and motivated Junior Architects with 1-4 years of post graduate, professional experience (5-year B. Arch or M. Arch) and/or at least, 1 years of pre-graduate internship experience. The candidate should be local to the New York City area or able to move in a relatively short amount of time (no visa candidates please).
Our Need: We are seeking applicants who are motivated, curious, possess a strong attention to detail and have a desire to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Qualified applicants should also have the following skills:
- Documentation: Drafting – Intermediate to advanced level AutoCAD; Modeling – intermediate to advanced level Google Sketch-up.
- Presentation and Illustration: Ability to translate ideas / discussions / storyboards into formal presentations; Rendering / Material Mapping / Post-production graphics.
- Knowledgebase: Ability to independently research and self-educate in unknown or unfamiliar areas of practice. A self-motivated learner with the ability to identify, understand, process, and solve complex problems. Basic knowledge of the building code and accessibility standards is a plus.
- Communication + Collaboration: Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a highly creative and structured environment through strong communication, organizational and collaborative skills.
