The South County Psychiatry Continues to Expand

South County Psychiatry (SCP) announced the addition of Dr. Mark Zimmerman to South County Psychiatry as Chief of Ambulatory Psychiatry and Behavioral Health.

Dr. Anthony Gallo, the President of South County Psychiatry, said, “We couldn’t be more excited about having Dr. Zimmerman join SCP as director of our psychiatric programs and the Director of the Intensive Outpatient Program that we opened on May 1st. He is globally renowned as a thought leader in both psychiatric diagnosis and outcomes. Without hesitation, I can say that with him onboard, we will be able to compete with the best programs nationwide.”

Jim Florio, Jr., the Chief Operating Officer of South County Psychiatry, said: “It’s an honor to be able to collaborate with Dr. Zimmerman as I consider him one of the best psychiatrists in the world. Under his leadership as Chief of Ambulatory Psychiatry and Behavioral Health, we will be creating state of the art programs that will be delivered far and wide.”

South County Psychiatry would also like to welcome several other distinguished providers to its clinical team. Dr. Abigail Mansfield Marcaccio, PhD, will serve as chief of psychology. Dr. Mansfield has clinical and research expertise in couple and family therapy, and will be building these programs across the service line at South county Psychiatry. Dr. Tracy Morgan, PhD, has joined SCP as Assistant Director of the Intensive Outpatient Program. Dr. Morgan was the lead psychologist in one of Butler Hospital’s Partial Hospital Programs, and has been instrumental in developing the IOP at SCP. She has also published about the effectiveness of partial hospital care. Dr. Tom Sheeran, PhD, has clinical expertise in geriatric psychology and will be building programs for aging patients and their loved ones, as well as providing general outpatient psychotherapy. Dr. Holly Schiff, PhD will be offering services for adolescents and young adults, and Dr. Shayna Bronsky, PhD will be working with patients with medical issues as well as

weight loss, insomnia, and pain management. She will also be building programs in primary care and integrated behavioral health. Courney Stanton, PMHNP provides medication management for those across the lifespan: primarily to adults anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, mood disorders, and ADHD.

Jill Cranham, Lisette Bermudez, and Amy Rojas will join our administrative team. All of the recent additions to South County Psychiatry will join an existing dedicated team of providers and administrators whose focus is delivering a high level of quality of psychiatry and behavioral health care and support to the community.

Today, SCP also is opening an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) that provides intensive treatment for individuals with acute psychiatric conditions who are struggling to fulfill their usual daily responsibilities. The goal of treatment is to reduce the intensity and frequency of symptoms and resume usual daily activities such as employment, child care, and/or keeping up with household chores. Dr. Jennifer Cosgrove O’Leary Expands Services
