‘Banksy without limits’ extended to end of July

The art show an tribute to world renowned graffiti artist Banksy is being extended well into the middle of summer.

The show features numerous sculptures and panting’s with unique messages behind each one. A 3D hologram  debuted for the first time at the show that showcased the meaning behind the mysterious figures messages and philosophies to the many paintings he has done.

“The reaction of the community and Southwestern Ontario has been very strong when we first announced the show” said DJ Williams, one of the directors of the art show.

The source of interest with the artist stems from the curiosity and anonymity surrounding the identity of Banksy but also the meaning politically driven messages behind his works.

“it gave people a little bit of a background information about Banksy but allowed them to you know, get an idea of kind of what he looks like and the type of different art installations that he does because Banksy’s about much more than just painting” says Williams .

Many Londoners gravitated to the most notable pieces of Banksy’s art, like the flower thrower and The girl with the balloon, with many also becoming interested in a peculiar piece.

“We had some different pieces from like Dismaland which was a sort of a fake pop-up amusement park that Banksy created many years ago that was very satirical and in nature and the fact that  It was kind of showing up unhappy type of amusement park where people weren’t  treated with the big smiles like they would be at Disneyland for instance and a lot of it was based on a movie that Banksy produced many years ago called exit through the gift shop where you were able to see the controversy that he caused when he did this pop-up amusement park” says Williams
